Freqently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is integrated hydraulic gate automation?

Integrated automation is designed into the gate frame and support post. Special weldments and operator brackets are placed within the structural frame, and there is no drilling or bolting through a finished gate panel, or on-site welding. AutoGate Systems specializes in hydraulic in-ground rotary actuators. We also offer linear hydraulic automation packages.

Can this automation system be adapted to existing gates?

That depends. It is possible to install our system on very well made steel, wood and aluminum gates. One must evaluate the quality of the support system, hinges, stops, etc. to make an accurate determination. Hydraulics, even when adjusted to low power, can pull apart gates without sufficient structural integrity. Our in-ground hydraulic rotary actuators can also be used to automate out-swinging carriage house (garage) doors.
